So the day we were looking forward to was finally here. . the day that we get to bring our baby home. We were going home as a family for the first time. The first day went well, baby slept most of the time and the first night was relatively easy except for the many feeds that she woke up for. Just when I was proudly cheap ampicillin sharing with my colleague that she is such an easy baby, her comment that babies change ALL the time came true. The remaining of the confinement was in one word, a CHALLENGE. It was everything and nothing like what we thought it would be.

We online ampicillin decided not to engage a confinement lady and if we were ever to do it again, we would do it the same. Not having a CL meant alot of extra chores that hubby had to take on (laundry, cleaning, etc) so I don't recommend this unless daddy can take at least 3 weeks off work and is willing to be hands on (yes, it includes changing smelly poo-filled diapers and changing sheets with milk spit at 6am!) . However, it also meant that we were really hands on and got to know and bond with baby alot.

Then there is the so called confinement meals or diet. Since we didn't have a CL, my dad was my personal chef. And I enjoyed every meal!! I did cheat a little and had some hawker food once or twice with the permission from my "confinement chef". Apart from an approximately a litre of red dates tea a day, I just had plain water all other times. Since I was breastfeeding, I had to make sure that I kept hydrating myself.

And yes, there is the infamous post-natal massage. A must-have for mummies who cannot bear to keep any of those flab from preggie days! The massage was a great "me-time" and I dozed off every single time I had the massage. My massage therapist Sudameris Bank S A E C A was really helpful in unblocking the blocked ducts which I had. It was almost as painful as the contractions though!I almost cried cheap buy ampicillin through that. The wrap which has to be kept on for at least 6 hours was uncomfortable and hot, but it does work like a modern version of a high society corset. Minus the lace. My hubby had a brilliant way to keep me motivated to keep the wrap on. He placed the money which I was going to pay for massage sessions on our dressing table so that each time I felt tempted to remove it, I would first see the money which I am spending. It does work, I did not want the money spent to go to waste so I actually kept the wrap on overnight after every session!

<span Ach Processing Companies style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Looking back, the confinement month seemed like a tunnel with no end to it at that time. Nevertheless we would not have done anything differently and each time we woke up and saw our little princess all the exhaustion simply melted away.

Lindy, Mum to Heidi 9 mths

I wore long sleeves and pants to prevent any "wind" from entering into my body. My mom also cheap ampicillin advise me on my diet during confinement. I drank vinegar to get rid of the "wind" in my tummy and i think that really helped alot. My massage lady was very cheap buy ampicillin good as well as she gave me valuable advices how to take care of myself and my baby . I could see the drop in inches (for my waist) after each massage..

Most importantly, I am lucky to have both the support of my hubby and my mother .. especially when i was at a loss with handling a newborn BNY Mellon Asset Servicing B V who had just arrived into my world…

With the help of the midwife, I managed to express some cleared liquid which I learnt was Colostrum [First flow of breast online ampicillin milk]. Though small in amount, this tiny flow of liquid was the most nutritious food a newborn would ever need.

Three days after I have delivered Ashley, I was still not discharged from the maternity ward. This is due to me not producing sufficient milk and hence not mastered the skill of breastfeeding yet. The midwives wanted to ensure that I would be able to feed Ashley well once I get back to home, hence they have decided to keep me longer in the maternity ward till my flow of milk regulate and when I was more comfortable with breastfeeding.

After day three, my supply of breastmilk increased and I was relieved that I was producing more milk then. My first feed wasn’t a pleasant one though. As I guided my baby girl towards my nipple, she didn’t know how to suckle, hence it was a long struggle before I finally got her latched on. Now, nobody ever shared with me that breastfeeding wasn’t painfree! I got a shocking sting at my nipple when Ashley has gotten her first ‘bite’ to devour the milk. I didn’t know if I should pull her away from my breast or put up with the pain. After a few seconds I decided to pull her away as I found the pain unbearable. I consulted the midwife in my ward and she encouraged me to practice more so that I would be able to latch my baby on without feeling the pain.

The subsequent feeds were not a bed of roses. I have to put up a fight with my baby each time as she will yell out loud whenever she is hungry. This meant that I had to quickly latch her on correctly so that she would be fed quickly in order for her not to cry any longer.

I thought the end of the delivery was the end of all the pain.

How wrong I was. It was the beginning of a series of new pain. When I started breastfeeding, I could feel the pain in my abdominal. My gynae visited me in the ward explained that it was my uterus shrinking after I have delivered my baby, hence I would be feeling some discomfort in my tummy.

My mum did warned me about not pushing too hard during constipation as it would cause the stitches to come off. I was so paranoid that i didn’t dare to visit the restroom for the initial couple of days. Some how I experienced a bad backache as well and I was wondering if that was the effect of having an epidural. I consulted my gynae and he explained it was due to my body adjusting without the weight of my baby. As if all these pain were not bad enough, when I finally got discharged from the maternity ward, I thought I can take a good rest and recuperate from all those sufferings.

I realized the body pain were not the worst thing that can happen to me.

Whenever I put her on the bed or in the cot, she would wake up immediately and cried for my attention. Alas she did fell asleep but woke up within the next three hours and cried for a feed.

This went on for the past 2 months during my confinement. I was fortunate to have my parents inlaw come over to stay with us and help us with the household chores while I focus on looking after Ashley. As my baby has spent a lot of time with me, she doesn’t allow even her daddy to carry her now. On one hand I was quite devastated of her being so sticky to me, other the other hand, I felt great that I was the only one who could pacify my baby!

Time passes too soon and Ashley would be turning 3 months old soon. I am still persisting with breastfeeding as it is less painful now and my darling knows how to get latched on more easily. In fact, whenever I get on her a breastfeeding position, she helps herself to my nipple. Her dad jokes that Ashley is having self-service to her buffet of milk now. My mum in law sewed a sarong cloth so that I can put Ashley to sleep in there while I get hands-free moments to do some personal things.

I’m a Moon and I called my daughter Baby Moon. Her name is Jun Ling and now she is 3-year old. She is no longer a baby but a toddler.

My pregnancy experience with my girl was wonderful because I totally had no morning sickness. I didn’t feel like vomit or no appetite. I just felt normal and the only small problem was I felt giddy in the morning sometimes and easily get tired.

The really nightmare of mine was the month of confinement. According to Chinese custom, during the confinement month, we cannot wash hair, cannot take shower, cannot even “touch” the water. These are just the very basic and there are more “rules” like no air-con, no fan, no plain water, no drinking while standing etc.

Since my mom was doing the confinement for me and taking care of my baby, she really did a good job in reminding me of all these “cannot do”. So, I cannot take shower (don’t mention about wash hair), cannot online Ampicillin drink plain water (only ginger, longan, red dates soup), must sit down while drinking, and the “worst” for me was I need to take Chinese herb from day 1 of confinement to day 30.

My mom had brought some Chinese confinement herb and it was packed into 30 packs. The taste of the herb was bitter but luckily there are two types of herb, one is bitter and the other tasted better (only a bit less bitter)

This is not the worst, my mom got another “recipe” herb and that’s the worst (the most bitter). This herb is mainly from the juice of ginger plus the Chinese pills. So, just imagine you are drinking a pure ginger plus melted pills. Eeeee…

Well, I would say that this is really a good “recipe” that can keep away the stomach wind and also keep the tummy flat. I regained my flat tummy after two months and it seems no sign of gave birth. That’s really worth for the “bitter” for the month.

Other than the Chinese herbs, I encountered sleeping problem during the confinement month. I couldn’t sleep well at night, especially slept with my baby who needed to breastfeed every two to three hours. I hardly get back to sleep again and that made me felt tired throughout the day.

I felt so uncomfortable when couldn’t buy ampicillin take shower and felt frustrated with my oily hair. I really want to thank my mom who was so patience to clear my oily hair with the wine and also use the hair dryer to dry the hair every few days. I could feel the love of a mother especially after I being a mom myself.

My mom also advised and reminded not to sit too long, not to watch TV and not to read during the month. According to her grandma, sit too long is not good for the waist and might cause waist ache in the future. While watching and reading are not good for the eye sight. I had to follow her rules and I felt a bit depressed during the month.

I felt frustrated and depressed easily especially when I couldn’t get sleep at night time. My hubby really showed his tender care to me and the baby. He came home punctually after work and even cooked for me the confinement meals. He showed his love with his action and asked me to rest more and don’t think too much.

The confinement experience was really a good?! one! Now I’m expecting my No.2 and I would follow the same confinement custom of my mom. My grand grandma ever told my mom and now my mom told me, “it’s suffering for a month but stay healthy for the life time.” Many “No” but good for my healthy, “bitter” but good for my body and shape!

So, I cannot take shower (don’t mention about wash hair), cannot drink plain water (only ginger, longan, red dates soup), must sit down while drinking, and the “worst” for me was I need to take Chinese herb from day 1 of confinement to day 30.

Eeeee…

Chinese Belief- Ginger is believed to be included in every meal during Chinese confinement. It is believed to get rid of trapped wind in the tummy and to keep the body warm

I felt so uncomfortable when couldn’t take shower and felt frustrated with my oily hair.

Chinese Beliefs- In olden days, it is not advisable to sit too much during confinement, it is recommended to lie down often as it is believed to cause ache in the body when one ages.

I felt frustrated and depressed easily especially when I couldn’t get sleep at night time. My hubby really showed his tender care to me and the baby. He came home punctually after work and even cooked for me the confinement meals. He showed his love with his action and asked me to rest more and don’t think too much.

The confinement experience was really a good?! one! Now I’m expecting my No.2 and I would follow Mantovabanca 1896 Credito Cooperativo SOC Coop the same confinement custom of my mom. My grand grandma ever told my mom and now my mom told me, “it’s suffering for a month but stay healthy for the life time.” Many “No” but good for my healthy, “bitter” but good for my body and shape!
